MT HAVEN - Italy
The MT Haven was an 1100ft long Oil Tanker that had an explosion and caught fire for 3 days off the coast of Genoa Italy in 1991. After burning hot for 3 days it broke in half and sank just a few miles offshore. Today it sits in 100-270ft (30-80m) of water. It's the largest shipwreck in Europe and great for both recreational and technical diving. It spans 170ft (54m) across and the superstructure is full of colorful marine life. The visibility was pretty awesome when we were there (over 120ft) but i hear it can range depending on conditions.
