SS Emperor
The SS Emperor was a freighter that sank in 1947 after hitting Canoe rocks off of Isle Royale, an island in Lake Superior. The ship sank in 30 minutes taking the lives of 12 crew including the captain and the first mate who was responsible for running into the rocks possibly due to fatigue. Today the Emperor sits mostly intact and is a wonderful dive in the tech/rec range from 25-170ft of water. The engine room is intact, cabins, and galley. There is a lot to see and many artifacts on the site.
